Mahoor Music Quarterly is a Persian journal on music scholarship that publishes the most recent achievements on ethnomusicological research and Iranian music studies. This journal has been regularly published as a quarterly journal for over nine years. The main goal of this journal is to introduce the achievements of recent research projects on the musics of Iran and the neighboring cultures as well as issues on theory and method in ethnomusicology and Oriental music studies in Persian. In addition to publishing scholarly articles, Mahoor Music Quarterly also enjoys other contributions in terms of discussions on contemporary musicological concepts and music reviews.
