Orchestration of the classical pieces, the
great songs of the past and his own compositions comprise a high proportion of
FarÀmarz Payvar's repertory. The orchestra is either conforming to the
traditional concept of one, that is, three or four instruments; or it is a
large orchestra of traditional instruments developed into a combination of folk
and less conventional instruments such as ud, qeychak, robab and bamtar, which
is called The National Chamber Orchestra or Payvar's Orchestra.
