As often in Iran, Mahmud Tabrizizade begins his musical initiation with zarb and takes up to violin and santur at eight with master Ashgar Hoseyni. He follows his teaching for ten years, then perfects his style by refering to other masters. He ultimately leaves the violin for kamanche and studies throughly the techniques of performers from the late Qajar period, but he is mostly influenced by Ostad Bahari.
Since he left Iran, Mahmud Tabrizizade has brought his music all through the world (Europe, Middle East, U.S.A, Japan). He also work as a composer for theatre and cinema.
