Piano: Soheil Nasseri

Acclaimed by The New York Times as "consistently interesting... consistently thoughtful... a vivid imagination... a magnificent technique..." and by the Berliner Zeitung as "fantastic... exquisite... hats off to him... a real talent..." pianist Soheil Nasseri performs regularly in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls: the Metropolitan Opera House, Alice Tully Hall and Weill Recital Hall in New York, the Terrace Theater of the Kennedy Center in Washington, Berlin's Philharmonie Kammermusiksaal, Berlin's Konzerthaus, London's Purcell Room at the Southbank Centre, Tokyo's Musashino Center, Florence's Teatro Comunale, and Palermo's Teatro Politeama. As concerto soloist Mr. Nasseri has appeared with orchestras including the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra, Philharmonie der Nationen, SIN Florentia, and Concert Artists of Baltimore, and as a recording artist he has solo discs on the Centaur, Naxos, and 21st Century Classical labels. Particularly devoted to the piano works of Beethoven, Mr. Nasseri is also a champion of contemporary music: he has premiered 23 new works and 8 composers have written pieces specifically for him. His unique music education program has taken Mr. Nasseri to over 60 American public schools where he has performed for a total of about 25,000 students.

Born to Iranian parents in Santa Monica, California, Soheil Nasseri studied privately with the late Karl Ulrich Schnabel before meeting his current teacher, Jerome Lowenthal. Soheil Nasseri divides his time between residences in New York and Berlin.
