Hoseyn Dehlavi was born in 1927 and began his musical studies with his father. His other masters were Abolhasan Saba in Persian classical music, and Hossein Nasehi and the Austrian maestro Thomas Christian David in composition. He is the graduate of High School of Music in composition and has traveled to Germany and Austria to continue his studies and develop his technical skills. After Saba's death, he was appointed as the leader of his master's orchestra. He founded Iranian Orchestra of Rudaki Hall in 1968.
